Splendid Days - Cakes and Tea Parties

At Splendid Days we offer totally delicious cakes made from the finest of ingredients all baked at Splendid Days HQ in the Aga using our own free range eggs from chickens that roam the farm! The service is completely bespoke so your cakes can not only be your made in favourite flavours with your choice of flour but also visually fit in with your special event.

Our cakes could be served instead of or in addition to pudding at your event and can take the form of a gorgeous cupcakes lavishly spread with butter cream and piled high on cupcake stands, traditional layered sponges which look fabulous on our glass cake stands or fanciful tiered iced cakes.

Tray bakes such as tempting brownies are also available, as are gluten and wheat free cakes and organic ingredients, the choice is yours! Scones and jam are a must for an afternoon tea party and can be accompanied by our homemade jam.

If you are choosing a tiered cake the layers can be made in different flavours to keep everyone happy. Afternoon tea is a wonderful tradition that should be preserved and makes for a great event when combined with vintage china.

Splendid Cupcakes

Cupcakes are a perfect little package that`s ready to go, no messy cutting and perfectly co-ordinated to suit your event. They are great for parties of all kinds and come in all sorts of fantastically tempting flavours. Relive your childhood and enjoy!

Our lovely cupcakes come in 3 sizes: mini, regular and whopper (the size of a big muffin). Prices are 50p for a mini, £1.00 for a regular and £1.75 for a whopper. We also make giant cupcakes priced at £20. These are good on their own or make a fun top to a tier of cupcakes.

Decorations can be tailor made to suit your occasion and we have a large selection. Please call to discuss your requirements.

Layered Cakes

Our layered cakes are delicious and look fantastic on our vintage cake stands. They consist of two layers of sponge between which there is a filling and the top is decorated to suit your requirements.

They come in two sizes:
8" which will serve about 10 people
10" which will serve about 15 people

Prices are from £10 for a Victoria sponge.

Flavours

Traditional Victoria Sponge
An unbeatable classic that everyone loves! Light and fluffy vanilla sponge with a vanilla butter cream filling and strawberry or raspberry jam. Cream can also be used as a filling with the jam.

Chocolate Cake
A moist and luscious chocolate cake filled and covered with chocolate butter cream icing. Decorated simply to your requirements.

Lemon Cake
Made from fresh lemons this zesty cake is decorated with lemon butter icing and pretty yellow sugar rosebuds.
